Join us for a presentation by Cowley County Emergency Management Coordinator Brian Stone. This presentation defines Emergency Manage-ment not only at the County level, but at the work and personal level. Preparedness begins at home. We all practice the four phases of emer-gency management in our daily personal, and work lives. Brian will take us through the steps of a disaster including documentation and financial requirements in the event of an emergency.
Brian is a Cowley County native. He is a Certified Emergency Manager through the International Association of Emergency Managers, and the current President of the Kansas Emergency Management Association (KEMA). Brian also is the Cowley County representative on the South Central Kansas Regional Homeland Security Council, and serves on various boards throughout Kansas. He has been twice honored by KEMA as their "Emergency Management Professional of the Year" in 2005 and 2011.
